This privacy policy describes how the PokerDough mobile application (“the App”), developed by Neil Schreiber, handles information.
1. Overview
PokerDough is a local poker cash-game ledger. It does not require an account, does not include advertising networks, and does not upload your game ledger to our servers.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
A. Ledger entries you create
When you add buy-ins or cash-outs, the App stores player names, amounts, entry type (buy-in or cash-out), and timestamps on your device (via on-device storage such as UserDefaults). This information stays on your device unless you choose to share it yourself outside the App (for example by screenshots).
B. No account or profile required
The App does not ask you to create an account and does not collect email, phone number, or payment information as part of normal use.
3. Microphone & Speech Recognition (Optional)
PokerDough can optionally use your device’s microphone and Apple Speech Recognition so you can speak entries (for example, “Neil buy-in 100”).
These features are used only when you choose Listen / voice entry.
Speech recognition is provided by Apple’s system frameworks. Audio/transcript handling follows Apple’s speech recognition behavior and privacy controls on your device.
We do not operate our own speech servers and do not receive your voice recordings.
You can deny microphone or speech permission in iOS/iPadOS Settings; the rest of the App still works with manual entry.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
PokerDough does not collect or request:
Location / GPS
Contacts, photos, or files from your library
Advertising identifiers for tracking across apps
Analytics SDKs that send your ledger contents to third parties
5. How Information Is Used
On-device ledger data is used only to show your buy-ins, cash-outs, and totals inside the App. Optional speech input is used only to help create or update those entries.
6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. The App does not send your ledger to Neil Schreiber’s servers. Optional speech recognition may involve Apple’s on-device or Apple-provided speech services under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
7. Data Deletion & User Rights
You can remove individual entries in the App, clear the ledger from within the App, or delete all App data by offloading/deleting PokerDough from your device. Because ledger data is stored locally, uninstalling the App removes that data from the device.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
